SUMMARY:St. Barnabas Ribbon Cutting
DESCRIPTION:Olympia Community Solar and the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Bainbridge Island are thrilled to invite everyone to a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the solar project at St. Barnabas Church! \nThis project goes beyond reducing carbon emissions; by reducing operating costs and providing clean electricity\, it expands the church’s ability to serve its congregation and community for years to come. This ceremony is a great opportunity to learn more about the benefits of solar\, meet the individuals and organizations that have made this project a reality\, and celebrate St. Barnabas’ commitment to supporting and empowering residents of Bainbridge Island. \nThe project includes 127 solar panels across the church’s roof. Power Trip Energy designed and installed the 53.34 kW system that’s capable of producing 44\,133 kilowatt-hours per year. This will reduce the church’s energy bill and contribute to sustainable infrastructure and emergency preparedness on Bainbridge Island. \nThe project is funded from a grant from the WA Department of Commerce Clean Energy Community Grants program\, which is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution\, creating jobs\, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov. \n“For St. Barnabas\, this project has two major goals. First\, we want to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible\, to help care for God’s creation. Second\, we want to reduce our cost of electricity\, which is one of the church’s largest fixed expenses.” said George Robertson\, member of the St. Barnabas Church.

SUMMARY:Poulsbo Workshop - "The Changing Role of Home Energy Storage"
DESCRIPTION:“The Changing Role of Home Energy Storage” – a new community workshop by Power Trip Energy’s Andy Cochrane \nSolar energy remains the cornerstone of clean energy projects—proven\, reliable\, and both environmentally and economically beneficial. While solar technology itself has seen steady\, incremental improvement\, the real transformation is happening on the energy storage side of the equation. \nRapid advances in battery technology\, paired with significant cost reductions\, are reshaping how energy is captured\, stored\, and used. As a result\, energy storage has become more accessible\, more flexible\, and more essential for grid stability. It is also crucial for resilience and maximizing the value of renewable energy systems. \nThis presentation explores the growing profusion of energy storage solutions\, why costs are coming down\, and what these changes mean for homeowners\, builders\, and communities. As storage systems become more complex and influential\, education is critical. This session will help attendees better understand the technologies\, opportunities\, and practical implications shaping the future of clean energy.

SUMMARY:Jefferson Home Show
DESCRIPTION:March 7 – Jefferson Home Show\n \n1:30 PM – “The Changing Role of Home Energy Storage” – by Power Trip Energy’s Andy Cochrane \nSolar energy remains the cornerstone of clean energy projects—proven\, reliable\, and both environmentally and economically beneficial. While solar technology itself has seen steady\, incremental improvement\, the real transformation is happening on the energy storage side of the equation. \nRapid advances in battery technology\, paired with significant cost reductions\, are reshaping how energy is captured\, stored\, and used. Energy storage has become more accessible\, more flexible\, and more essential for grid stability\, resilience\, and maximizing the value of renewable energy systems. \nThis presentation explores the growing profusion of energy storage solutions\, why costs are coming down\, and what these changes mean for homeowners\, builders\, and communities. As storage systems become more complex and influential\, education is critical—and this session is designed to help attendees better understand the technologies\, opportunities\, and practical implications shaping the future of clean energy.
