Chris & Carolyn are quite pleased with their 7.2 KW grid tied PV system, consisting of 36 Sanyo 200 watt modules and a 7000 watt SMA inverter. Their beach front location is blessed with tremendous natural light, including reflected light from the water.

Clark Residence, 3.7 KW, Port Townsend, 2008

3.7 KW grid tied system consisting of 205 watt Sanyo modules and a 4000 watt SMA inverter.  Because of the hill and trees to the south, we installed the top row of this array above the ridge of the roof which is not a normal practice, but done at the request of the client, and effective in harvesting as much sunlight as possible.

Bob & Phyllis are excited because their 4 KW Sanyo array has their Puget Sound Energy meter “spinning backward” on a partly sunny August day. Twenty Sanyo 200 watt modules and a SMA 4000 watt inverter are installed on their home.

Carla and Brad are quite pleased with their new PV array, a 4.8 KW grid tied system composed of 24 Sanyo 200 watt modules and a SMA 5000 watt inverter. This system will cover 36% of their home’s electrical consumption and will offset approximately 93% of their annual electrical bill in year one with WA State’s 15 cent per KWH production incentive.

Turner Residence, 6.42 KW, Port Angeles, 2008

The Turner’s originally installed a 3.42 KW system on their home in 2006. Because solar PV systems are modular in nature, the Turners were able to install another 3 KW of Sanyo modules (for a total of 6.42 KW) on their roof this year. Each array has its own inverter to maximize system performance.

Chatham Bus Shelter, 1.2 KW, Hansville, 2007

Chatham Bus Shelter, 1.2 KW, Hansville, 2007

1.2 KW grid tied PV system composed of 6 Sanyo 200 watt modules and a SMA 2100 watt inverter. The PV array is located on a bus shelter at the entrance to the Chatham subdivision and powers the lights and automatic entry gate for the development. This subdivision in north Kitsap County will highlight green build homes and the developer is offering cash incentives for homeowners to build green and include solar on their homes.
