Burger Residence, 7.25 KW SunPower, Port Angeles, 2015

Port Angeles is an excellent location for solar – and it is one of our busiest locations on the Peninsula. The North Olympic Peninsula averages approximately 3.5 hours of full sun per day. That is about 70% of the sun resources of southern California. This makes grid-tied solar installations very popular in Port Angeles. Power Trip Energy has installed many solar PV systems in PA over the years; here are a few of our latest projects:
This pump house/studio boasts an array consisting of 12 SunPower 327 watt modules and a Power One 4.6 KW inverter. The building will be used by the owner while the main residence is being built.
The Papes’ have PV on three different roof planes. Their 9.38 KW system consists of 28 SunPower 335 watt modules and two ABB inverters, 7.6 KW and 3.3 KW.
This one-story home has an array of 27 Solar World 315 watt modules and a Fronius 10 KW inverter.
This home has an array of 28 SunPower 327 watt modules and a two Fronius inverters (5000 & 6000 watts).
This array consists of 14 SunPower 327 watt modules and a Power One 6 KW inverter.
Even a flat roof can be used to produce clean solar energy, as seen in this photo. The tilted array consists of 17 Silicon Energy 200 watt modules and a 2.84 KW Silicon Energy inverter.
