Port Angeles is an excellent location for solar – and it is one of our busiest locations on the Peninsula. The North Olympic Peninsula averages approximately 3.5 hours of full sun per day. That is about 70% of the sun resources of southern California. This makes grid-tied solar installations very popular in Port Angeles. Power Trip Energy has installed many solar PV systems in PA over the years; here are a few of our latest projects:
This PV system consists of 6 SunPower 250 watt modules each with its own Power One integrated microinverter which was added to an already existing solar array system. Yes, this is the 5th pv installation we have performed here since the original in 2006, the combined arrays now total 8 kw. Read more about this project here https://powertripenergy.com/?p=2651

The Turner’s originally installed a 3.42 KW system on their home in 2006. Because solar PV systems are modular in nature, the Turners were able to install another 3 KW of Sanyo modules (for a total of 6.42 KW) on their roof this year. Each array has its own inverter to maximize system performance.
